Get Out The Tea And Fine China — The Royals Are Coming To Downton Abbey This September!

“Here we go…” mumbles Maggie Smith, on her way to a third Oscar perhaps. The most successful television series in Public Television history is now coming to movie theaters this September.

In this luscious trailer at 1 minute 39 seconds in, there’s a gay kiss. Perhaps a hint there’s more of the juicy sub-plot we gasped at during the early seasons.

Philz China Basin

Philz is on the corner of 4th St. and Berry in what was once China Basin, a small muddy fishing hole and occasional small fishing boat dock, out by the SF Giants ballpark.

It’s now quite developed into multi-story office, and research facilities. The area is bustling with attractive young tech and biotech workers, and as usual there is a line out the door at Philz.

Fortunately, because of tech, I can order my coffee through the Philz app on my phone, it’ll be ready and waiting with my name on it! Cut in front of the line, grab and go, don’t even have to deal with a human being at the cash register.

I’m all the way out here because I have an appointment at one of these biotech research facilities. I’m going to be a guinea pig. They’re going to stick a big long needle in my arm and inject dye into my veins. Then I’ll be strapped by the head so that I can’t move into an MRI machine for 30 minutes. They’re testing some new kind of dye. And I’m getting paid! It’s a research study and my prize is a $40 Amazon gift certificate. Wish me luck!

Uncle Dave At Jolene’s

There’s Uncle Dave stepping out to make a phone call, since the phone booths have stopped working long long ago.

This was at a special, top secret, exclusive, VIP, karaoke party at Jolene’s Bar and Restaurant, on 16th and Harrison.

The Elizabeth Taylor 50 Plus group were treated to succulent sliders, hors d’oeuvres, and divine mini fruit and custard tarts.

I hear Jolene’s weekend brunch is not to be missed.
